virtual pool 3 under windows xp

Does anyone know why Virtual Pool 3 cracked works fine under Windows 98 but under Windows Xp it asks for the cd ? I have tried all cracks from gamecopyworld but it seems that no one is working. Even more strange is that it works on other computers having the same operating system, but not on all of them. Could it be because of the NTFS ? Thanks.

Works fine for me. Running version 3.0.9.9, I read somewhere that there was a problem with 3.1.0.4

I know that it works on most systems but there are some on which it doesn't and I was wondering if someone made it work on one of these. What kind of file system do you have fat32 of NTFS ?

I am using the NTFS type. Maybe look for a different crack?

I tried all the cracks I found. The main problem is that it works on some computers but not on all of them. Many of my friends play it using the same crack and it's ok. I don't know what is wrong here.

It seems that the problem was elsewhere. You must hava a floppy drive installed to make the game work. Actualy it is enough that the drive A to be created. I used subst to do that every time I launch the game. In Windows 9X this problem wasn't because event if you don't have a floppy disk the drive is beeing created.
