Magic 4 is a clone of the Magic 3.1. I have heard that these chips work fairly well compared to the actual Magic series, which are not all that good to begin with. I have also seen a chip called NH3 sold as Magic 4 or 4.1

The NH3 in my opinion beats the magic 3, it can play the games it can't perfectly. I have not yet encountered a problem with it unless you note that my ps2 is broken.

It is really hard to say what the Magic 4 is. There are so many magic clones out. Some I have heard very good things about and some I have heard don't really work at all. You really never know what you are going to get. Even if you order from a site that says they are selling you a real Magic 3/3.1 I would say that 1 out of 3 times they will send you a clone. This and there poor performance are why most people, here at least, stay away from Magic chips.

I know that Magic 3 does not play GTA series well at all, not sure if this was fixed in the 3.1 version. $40 seems to be way to good of a deal. Normally a magic is $35-$40, installation $40-$60, and shipping is just over $10 each way. If you are getting all this for $40 then I would bet there is a rip off somewhere that you will be very unhappy about.

If it's an NH3, get it, it's really a nice chip but I think the apple is still better. But it can play Splinter cell flawlessly and every other game magics have prob's with.

I am not so worried about the chip you get. I personally would never send my system to someone who was offering all this for that extremely low of a price. This magic 4 would probably be about the worst chip you could get, considering it is a clone of an already crappy chip. To me the deal seems to good to be real. I would worry that if I sent it to him he would keep the PS2 and $40 and I would never see him again. We cannot tell you would you should do, especially since you are India and I have no clue how things work over there. Only suggest our own opinions and let you draw your own conclusions.

hi guys
First thging i want to mention is that the person is going to come to my house to install it He says that the chip is fine And let me tell u that the labour in INDIa is way to cheap The person is telling me that it would only take 14$ for soldering and rest for the chip He also told that if i want to get a chip installed i will hav to pay just 14$ for it That person also has Messiah 1 So wat do u say in between messiah 1 or magic 4 Which should i get |

That does clarify a little. I have done seceral install s for close friends for $15 and the total after chip for the is like $60 for a non clone. As far as Messiah 1 compaered to Magic 4 no way to really tell. The magic 4 is a clone that we know for sure. How well it works depends on which clone it is. The Messiah 1 is also most likely a clone also. If it is a clone it probably behaves more like a magic chip than a messiah.Seeing how you are not willing to blow a lot of money to get a real chip into the conutry you will have to make do with either one. Neither will perform perfectly but if you are lucky it will boot your games. When it comes down to it you are just going to have to trust the guys opinion. If you want to see just how many Magic fakes are out there you can go here to check it out. Sorry I couldn't be of more help, but it is hard telling how they will perform without knowing exactly what they are.

Ya i think u r correct i am likely not spending much cause i was screwed for 80$ by these people those who r selling magic 4
They gave me ar2 v2 + SBOX (external chip) for 80$ and also changed my motherboard from v7to v5/v6 cause ar2 v2 doesnot support V7 No i am not going to take their opinion cause i think they donot know anything about any modchip except magic 4 I think i know better about modchips as they do My main problem arises that if at all i get a modchip from abroad and tell these people to install If they donpot install it properly the first thing they would tell is that modchip is spoiled and doesnot work if also they made a mistake during installation Cause i think they would npt be able to install the chip as they r no professionals So last question Should i get a chip from outside and give them the chip to install Shoould i give them the M2P to install Pleez answer my last question Thank u Been of great help |

If they could install a magic chip properly then they could also install a Messiah 2 chip properly. There is only 2 wires that are different. W is in a different place for Magic and the power is a different voltage than on Messiah chips. You would be much better off getting a Messiah 2 that you knew was the real deal than a Magic 4 or Messiah1. My next question would be why would you have to pay around 200% of the original price of the chip? Is there some kind of heavy tax? Depending on the situation it could easily be gotten around by sending the chip inside of something else.
