no solder modchip

ive just got the no solder modchip for my ps2 (which is version 4)
i plugged it all in and it loaded with the original left in the drive, the memory card worked, the controller worked, played the game for a bit, on/off/reset button worked but the eject didnt work, took the chip out and wired the ps2 back up as original and it was fine, but whenever the chip is in it dont like ejecting, the chips not loose, is it a common problem or do i have a dodgy chip??

Alas, dodgy chips are a common problem with no-solders. The connections to the chip and to the motherboard are also crucial, along with ensuring the cable doesn't get crimped. Sounds like you've already triple checked this type of thing though.

Get a no-swap chip installed instead if you can...
