Quall999, thanks for the reply but how do I use...

The XBox's cd-ripper when I am using evox thats all I wish to do is add music tracks so I can listen to them in games. I am not to interested in video media.

I am just not sure how to do this do I have to put the jumper back on the BIOS on the chip or is there I way bu renaming files. Everything works so good right now I am afraid to do anything that may mess it up.

Also I want to thank you alot your help!! I cannot express how much I appreciate what you and all the other regulars have done.

Just load up the xbox's original dashboard. Put in your music cd and there should be an option. You don't have to change back from the evoXdash, all you have to do is launch the original one.

Well heres the problem,

In the evox menu on my screen there is a selection of M$ DASHBOARD but when I go to click it, it goes back to the evox menu so I am guessing I need a link or something in my ini file.

Can you please explain how I can set the link up so that I can switch to my original dash without having to go through renaming the dash's back then booting back up with an evox on cd.

Thanks alot I appreciate your time,

sure, but first, you need to find out what your microsoft dashboard is named. Aftdr that...

Open up the evox.ini file. Near the top or so, there should be some settings (or near the middle depending on the ini file you've downloaded), like dvd player, ip address, etc... Anyways, there should be something like " MS dashboard=whatever". Just change the "whatever" to whatever your ms dashboard is named.

example:
MS Dashboard = "c:\msdasboardsxbe"

That works beautifully,

Thanks so much, you won't believe how much easier that makes it for me. I wonder is it the same for the dvd player do I switch to MS dash and then put in a dvd or is there a way to launch it from evox.

Thanks a million Quall999 I appreciate the help you have given me you really are a great person!!

same thing for the dvd player, but you still need the dvd kit.
