Problems ripping Enter The Matrix

I have an Executor2 Pro w/ bios: Xecuter2_4976.02_MultiVer_256k.bin and am having trouble copying the new matrix game (from dvd) onto harddrive. I've tried using PX HD Loader and manually copying the files with xcommander. The game starts to load, I hear the "atari' sound, but the screen stays blank and everything locks after about 15 seconds (of blackness).

Also if I put the game in and start it through "launch dvd" in evoX, it DOESNT work. But if I start the xbox with the dvd in (not loading evoX) it does work fine.

Any ideas? Thanks

All right. I don’t have this game (yet) so I can’t screw around with it and see what happens. But I did a little searching. From what other people have reported some files in the game have really LONG file names. When EvoX gos and runs these files it can’t handle them b/c it doesn’t know what to do about the names being so long, so it just crashes, leaving you with a black screen.

So I guess we will have to wait ‘til the next ver. Of EvoX to play this game from the HDD. Hopefully the makers of EvoX will address this prob soon and put out a new ver.

Well about as much elaboration as I can do since forum rules prohibit links or asking for software is to say I have seen it and it is large (almost 300MB) but I haven't actually used it since I still have the original HD in my Box and play everything off disc.

Playing it off disc is not recommended though since the loading times on the rip are horrible!! I swear it seems like loading takes just as long as some of the levels!!

PS Somebody, somewhere, IS selling the Brooklyn Bridge! This patch has been out for more than 24 hrs!!

Well I can't post links or files but I think talking about the names should be OK.

The one I saw was for the cfn release and is simply labeled cfn-etm-hd-fix but could easily be renamed. This is gonna be a hugely popular release so watch the usual places and it will show.

hmmm i know all about the usual places but i found nothing that matches cfn-etm-hd-fix ,, are u sure that's the exact name?

the closest thing i got to that is cfn-etmfix.rar but that's mererly just a .ppf file zipped, and the nfo says that this patch only works on dvd cd's not on hdd's

im stumped...

thanks in advance

I got it working with no patches

I used PX HD Loader 1.1 to copy the game (move it to your game directory or set the HDLoader directory to your games list in evox.ini if you dont want to have to always run it from PX HD Loader).

Then I turned off in-game reset in EvoX (under misc), and the game WORKED. I use in game reset now through my bios by removing the x2_IGR_disabled file from my root C directory (I think, I dunno Im kind of a newbie but it still works)
