The big problem is that the companies basically have to take an acceptable failure rate as part of this setup.
"1 in 1000 legitimate users will not be able to play this game." Anyone remember the SecuROM blunder with Neverwinter Nights? It was locking out anyone with a CD burner in their machine, or anyone with CloneCD installed - even when they ran original discs. Now that's ****ing rude. - Gurm
