Arrow battlefield 1942 ver 1.3.1 and mods

hi all,

i recently installed the new patch (ver 1.3.1) for battlefield 1942 and the following happend:

1) my image (created with ccd4) and mounted with alcohol120% did not do the trick - i got a request for the cd.

2) i downloaded a no-cd crack for ver 1.3.1 (by BeN) wich patched the bf1942.exe and mod.dll files.

3) my backup worked (thus no request for original cd), but;

4) my mods can not be loaded! I crash back to the desktop! (this is starting to sound all to fimiliar...)

this was the same problem with ver 1.2 as far as i know! any suggestions? can a image be made that does not require a crack?

thanks in advance.

use daemon tools

first uninstall and reinstall the game. apply 1.31 patch and the mods and use daemon tools to mount the cd image with safe disk emulation and you will be able to play no problem. sometimes bf42 will screw up when patched. its best to install and apply latest patch while skipping the previous patches
