ps2 game problems

Hi

Every now and again when i burn a ps2 game to cd, when i try and boot it it displays the "playstation2" screen, then the screen goes black and it goes to the memory card screen.

Does anyone know why?

Thanks
Ash

The two most likely problems are bad laser or bad media. Try to clean the laser with a cleaning disc and if that don't work try good media(if your not already). If you have an older playstation it is possible the laser is going downhill.

Yes.... Sounds like your laser is on its way out...

Just wondering... What type of mod do you have in your V4?

Also... What type of media are you using?

Reading Cds only after it has been turned off for awhile is usually a sign of overheating.
