Hardly alight let alone burning!
I guess I'm in the right street, I have an MSI CDRW 40X12X48 and that is all that is on the box (its six months old and MSI are now manufacturing mother boards), it may be rebadged but can't find anything on it on the web regarding what are its limits/capabitities. That's problem (1) problem (2) is that using Clony XXL to identify SimCity3000 Unlimited and then Detect CD to identify the 'switches' find that I should be using CDR Win to burn. I'm using Clone CD to burn and am not getting the desired result. Clone CD copies the image file and it burns to disc but the game won't load correctly using my copy and installing patches.
Are my problems too big for you? Gerhard |

try to see if your writer is listed in the clone cd site....if not send an email to the company and ask them for the technical caracteristics of your burner andaverything else you would like to know....
you can use clony xxl only for the copy protection detection and then use alcohol in order to make a copy of the cd....after that try using the emulation avary time you play the cd...if none of all these works try to download a crack from www.megagames.com

Burner ID
Thanks for responding.
Firstly the box and the piece of paper the manufacturer would call a manual has no company name, only Made in China (Taiwan) So contacting home base isn't on. I'm after another MSI user. I'm aware what Clony XXL does, and Detect CD. Why would Alcohol be better than Copy CD, or is it you favorite burning program? Do I have to burn using CDR Win that Detect CD identifies as the prefered burning program? I may be better at burning an Olimpic torch, how's the games preparation coming along? Gerhard |
