Question to bighap

before i try your reply i was to disable the dma before i upgraded the firmware! i just want to make sure i do no more damage to my drive ! and will the firmware upgrade have worked ?

Disabling DMA will do no harm to your drive. I would try putting on the firmware again with DMA disabled. If it was already put on successfully it should tell you, if not it will apply it this time.
