Hello all, I'm am new to this whole ps2 thing.....
I have several game's and would like to protect them. I know you've heard that b4 lol but belive it or not, regardless.. I would just like to ask if it is possible :given the right software: to burn a ps2 game to disk using a pc, then be able to play it on PS2? Or is this all about emulating a ps2 on yer pc? I am NOT asking how to do this, only if this is possible... Also, if it is possible can I get a few software titles that I may need to proceed? Thanx |

This is about backing up games to be played on the PS2. As of yet there is no PS2 emulator for the PC. You will need some kind of modchip to play these backups. There are to different kinds in general. There are no solder mods. Which as the name implies require no soldering but you must use a swap disc like Gameshark or action replay to boot the game. There are also modchips that require soldering. These require a pro to do the install but do not need a boot disc to play the game. As far as the no solder I am not sure what is the best but I do know to stay away from anything with the name Neo. These chips do damage to the laser. For a Modchip that needs to be soldered the best out there is the Messiah 2. As for software to backup your games the most recommended is recordnow. Other programs like nero, cdrwin and discjuggler can work just as well. For instructions on how to backup games see the sticky entitled "backup procedures"
