Fade protection works on dates.

If u do a one to one copy of a dvd-r u copy all files including the dates that they were created.

If u rip a game ur PC then adds the last date that u messed around with the file and when u run the game it reads the dates of the files compared to what they should be and if wrong then protection kicks in. ( This is what I was told by someone claiming to be knowledgeable anyway!)

Also if it reads the ps2 internal time and date then theoretically it is possible that it would get worse and worse the longer u use it but don't quote me on it!

So theoretically it should be possible to fool fade protection by simply setting your PC to the correct time and date before ripping the game from dvd to cdr.

And thats MY TEN CENTS

Regards
