dvd file too big

if i go to copy a film from my hard drive (say it is 700mb) using "my dvd" copying software, it increases the size to over 5g.
I presume this is what the movie size would be after encoding.
what I would like to know is, if there are any products available that can encode without making the movie so big.

cheers

Try using DVD2One. It fits any movie onto a DVD-R without any noticable loss in picture quality.

I have never seen a 700Mb DVD before. Use DVDXCOPY Or DVD2One.
