NTSC-2-PAL problem please HELP!!!

Hi, I have this weird problem with US NTSC Final Fantasy IX.I have Messiah moded V4 PAL PS2 with RGB cable and it is working properly, all games(CDs,DVDs) for PS2 from both NTSC and PAL region work fine. But now I have a problem with PS1 game FF IX which is US NTSC and want to play it on my PAL PS2, but the screen flickers like nuts.I have already tryed with NTSC2PAL patcher but the only thing that has changed is text under PS logo at he disc boot-up which was changed from "sony computer entarntainment america" to "sony computer entarntainment europe" but the picture still flickers. Was the patcher only to fix the color(it was called "NTSC-2-PAL Patch & License Fix") or do I have to download "NTSC-2-PAL selector" to fix frequency problem..And I would also like to know why all PS2 games in NTSC format work just fine at my PAL PS2, but PSX game in NTSC format flickers???

Thanx a lot!

U need to add a link to ur motherboard which will correct the problem.

Try looking at messiah 2 installation instructions and it is usually included in there.

Regards

Thank you for your reply but what you descriped me was a color fix for PS2, which I have already done when I've inserted messiah modchip.I have a problem with flickering screen but only with PSX NTSC games PS2 games in NTSC format work just fine.I found some utilities on GameCopyworld, but I don't know which is the right one(Y-pos finder, Import player...).If you can please tell me what to do I'de me most happy.

Thanx!

Two fixes for the PS2, RGB Colour fix and NTSC Colourfix also known as the PS1 NTSC Colourfix.

Try this tool. It is supposed to be an excellent pal and ntsc converter.

Thanx for help.

Now I've tryed with ImportPlayer Light v2.1 [EURO] the picture is fine(it's not flickering) but the movies seem to be a bit slower and sound skips in movies too.I haven't tryed with your patch but if it doesn't have this problems with movies I'll use it.Do you maybe know why sound skips in in-game movies if I use ImportPlayer Light v2.1 [EURO]?

Thanx!

You just burn it on CD and boot it before inserting PSX game!

Does anyone know why the sound in in-game(PSX games) movies is skipping if I use ImportPlayer Light v2.1 [EURO](for PSx games) ???
