Def.Sektoren

Ok, I used CloneyXXL to scan an image and it told me the protection on it is "Def.Sektoren". Since this wasnt in the faq, I assume this is greek or dutch or whatever language cloney is written in, what type of protection is this and how do I burn it? Its not listed in the FAQ.

Any certain settings I should use or not use in ColoneCD/Alcohol 120% when burning a backup?

Maybe fast error skip, but other than that the normal settings should work just fine. If you want to be cautious, just use a cdrw to test it out.

Yes, but the TOC contains invalid entries to make really big 'dummy' files. You just have to use a program that can copy this cd correctly. What did you use for it ? Normally Alcohol120%, CloneCD and Nero (in order of less likely) should be able to handle it. I've copied such cds with Nero in the past. The important thing is that you copy the entire cd directly. If you copy the files to hard disk, the dummy files will get written out too. These dummy files all contain the same data : the contents of the whole cd. They're really just pointers to the beginning of the cd if you know what I mean. Sometimes you can leave those dummy files out, or make files with the same name and zero length. Novalogic is trickier, their games extract from those dummy files certain important data files. But in all cases it should be straight copyable with Alcohol120%, Clonecd. If you have any problems, tell me what happens.

Edit : getting an audio track or a really big file indicates that the program you use doesn't handle things correctly.

Actually, the cd only has 1 file, a 600~660meg .CAB file, and a 2 minute long audio track.

I am not sure what settings I used in clone cd but I did get an image that apperas correct, I wanted to know what settings to use to burn it, maybe I should just use a CD-RW and guess like I did on the image creation?
