my playstation died

ok, my ps2 was on standby and i picked it up and moved it over 5 inches or so, and when i put it down i heard a crack noise. i tried to turn it on and its dead. i have no idea what happened. I have a magic 3 installed in it. any idea what could be the problem?

One of two things. Either the chip was not placed properly, magic installation instruction show crappy placement of the chip, and there was to much pressure put on it or the mother boaord and something actually cracked. In which case you are f***ed. Option two would be that a bare wire was exposed domewhere and this came in contact with the sheild over ther motherboard and fried something. It could have fried your chip or blown a fuse on the motherboard. If you open it up and everything looks good it might be the fuse. Fuses can be checked with a continuety meter. Fuse lists for all versions can be found here
