Yes the network adapter works fine with backups.

Anybody know if Sony can catch u with a mod chip through online gaming. I hear mircosoft can find out if u have a mod chip in your X box through xbox live and they will cut off your online service forever. Wonder if this can happen with ps2.

I have used mine a few times with no problems. I have also never heard of any prblems from anyone.
