Download Alcohol 120% and create an image of it with the correct copy protection profile - possibly Safedisk 2.
You can then mount it in Alcohol itself or use Daemon Tools if you want.

Is it mounted in the correct drive and is the correct Emulation selected.

The emulation menu when you mount the image, is actually meant for nearly 100% copies, i.e. copies that won't play on their own, but will if Alcohol or DT provide a bit of emulation. If your image was done right, you do not need that second emulation menu. It sounds like the image wasn't done right, OR maybe you didn't reinstall from the virtual cd drive that Alcohol/Daemon tools creates ? The game may be trying to seek its data on the real cdrom drive because it was installed with that drive, to avoid this you have to reinstall the game from the virtual drive.
