shenmue 2 hdd patch?

hi,

i tried the search but did not really find an answer.

i copied shenmue2 (pal) to the xbox hdd. i tried to run it from there but of course it failed. i tried to patch it in several ways, even tried xbeiso. nuttin worked for me. i even tried the US .xbe, just to check it.

how do i get it to work. in this forum i read that there is a shenmue 2 release that works from hdd only.
someone got a clue how i can get mine to work?

is your back up downloaded from the net or a back up of an original copy?

sounds like the .xbe could be corrupt

its the game dvd copied to hdd.

I've copied Shenmue 2 (PAL) to HDD and it plays fine without any trouble.

What ftp prog are you using as i've had trouble with FTP Voyager for what ever reason being able to copying all the files on some of my games. I'm trying out FlashFXP and this prog works fine, all the games i could not copy not do so.
maybe try copying it again using a diffrent FTP prog.

i can't be related to the FTP tool since he did a backup from disk to XBOX HDD - so there was no FTPing involved. anyways i recommend WS_FTP (pro), which i use and which has the nice feature to show you the total size of your game by rightclicking on the game folder and selecting properties - similar to the windows explorer.

shenmue 2: i copied orinigal (US-NTSC) to HDD and it worked fine i'm having trouble with a bunch of other games though: state of emergency, kung fu chaos and super bubble pop (what a crap) also soul calibur 2 won,t start off hdd, but this one i got via p2p
(eMule)

any suggestions on making these games work off HDD (SoE and SBP work fine from cd though - couldn't try KFK, because have no DVD burner)
