Have you tried the patch here ?
http://www.megagames.com/dc/dc_patches_w.shtml I think Majestic only patched 50/60 Hz code (their patch's description is "Pal/Ntsc - No Border Fix"). Otherwise, you might try to patch only the "50 -> 60 Hz code". Be sure the 2 "PAL Protection" are in 1st_read.bin. If they are in another file, it might corrupt it...
