Unhappy i did everything... but still... WHY???

I tried to back up the japanese version of Winning Eleven 6 (CDR version) and another japanese game Mosquito, none worked.

What i did was using CloneCD to create image first, then take out the source and insert a blank CD as target.

After a few tries under the speed of 12x, 10x, 8x, my ps2 still didn't read the disk.

Is there anything i did wrong or is there any step i missed? Plz help me.

Info:
Media: Fujifilm 700mb/80min
Software: CloneCD 4 trial (i used Game Disk backup option)
Copying speed: Max at making image, 12x, 10x, 8x when burning
Platform: PS2 30001 R w/ Magic 3

You need to use the PSX LibCrypt profile. Look here

what a tough nut!!

I tried twice with Winning Eleven 6 under the speed of 12x and 8x, following the procedure. Still couldn't force my ps2 to read the disks......

Plz, tell me i still have hope, tell me there is another thing that might be criticle, and tell me this is not the end of the world and my consciousness

Couple of things:

1. I'm assuming that the originals that u r trying to copy boot okay?

2. Have u got any other CDR's to boot on yr PS2? ( In other words is yr magic chip functioning correctly or is yr boot method correct)

For that matter have u got any back-ups of any kind to boot yet?

Final thing to try. Clean and polish originals, Read them at 1X speed and make an image on hard drive, when complete burn the cd at 1X speed. Yeah, this will take a while but u just can't go wrong at that speed so if this don't work u have to assume the problem is somewhere else, either yr boot proceedure or chip related.

Good Luck, let us know how it goes.

Ok... one of my friend made a backup of my Ace combat 4 for me. The backup works fine...... but it was a DVD, i don't know if that could represent that the chip was functioning or not.

So far i tried to backup 3 games, Midnightclub, Mosqueto, and that Winning eleven, none of them really worked. HOWEVER, i backed up Midnightclub on a friend's computer with separate CD-ROM and CDRW (2 drives), HOWEVER the backup somehow worked a few times, after a great number of retries. I imagine that would be the result of using Nero instead of CloneCD under the speed of 24x (maybe to fast).

After that, the other backups i tried to made myself, failed to work no matter how many Reset bottons i hit.

I will now try to backup with speed of 1x, but how can i set the reading speed? I don't think i've seen such an option in the CloneCD setup

Thank you very much for the advise

p.s. this face looks Stupid...

ok, i still don't know how to read to image with 1x speed in cloneCD so i just let the program use the default reading speed

I tried to burn with speed of 1x from image, but it appeared to be that with the PSX profile, the 4x burning speed was used whenever i select the speed of 1x (how weird).

so i burned with speed of 4x....... still wouldn't work......
