Does anybody know how a person can receive detailed help with vague information?

But seriously - you need to have done a few things before asking for help. You will need to try to copy it first, then give details of what programs and methods you used to copy it. It being the program that you are copying which you haven't named - again not helping. Please do a few tests and give more detail - and don't double post

Sorry, I don't much about this

Thanks for your reply. I have training cd's for MS Office 2000 pro, dreamweaver, photoshop, fireworks. I tried making a copy of MS Access with my cdrw writer. It said it copied to my hard drive but wouldn't copy to cd. I thought maybe I needed a special program. I have gone to several stores trying to find a cd copier that would copy these training cd's and everyone says it can't be done. I was doing research on the web today and found 2 programs called clone4 and alcohol 120% that I think might help but I don't know. I really don't know much about copying. I have copied audio cd's and also made cdrw cd's as backups for my computer. When I tried to copy the Access cd to the cd nothing showed on the supposed copied cd.

Is there other info you would need?

I'm actually at my brother's house in MN and will be going back home on Sunday. So I can't remember the type of cd writer I have back home.

Thanks for your help.

I doubt there is any copy protection on the training cds - but to be sure, scan them with Clony XXL.
Have you tried using Alcohol yet to copy it - you should be able to get a good copy with Alcohol. Also, try reading the disk from another drive.

clone xxl vs alcohol 120%

I don't have either the clone or alcohol software yet. I am trying to find out if that is what I need to copy these training cd's and which one would be better to get. Is clone xxl the same as clone4?
I just reread your reply and I see that the program you are talking about is clony xxl so I assume that is different than clone4. You say scan with clony xxl. What would this mean? How do I scan it with clony xxl. Is that a separate program I would need in conjunction with alcohol 120%?

Thanks

Clony XXL is a copy protection identifying tool. You insert your original cd, start Clony XXL and click scan. It will scan the cd and try to identify the copy protection (if any) and also give you the correct settings to use in Clone CD.
I suggest that you use Alcohol 120% and select the copy protection profile in Alcohol that Clony XXL identifies for you. It is highly likely that no protection will be found.
