Anybody get this prob with a VCD

I created a VCD from a DVD using the program DVD2SVCD. I play it in media player and its choppy and slow as hell. It actaully freezes at the begining and won't move on. I downloaded winDVD4 and it plays alot better but still quite slow and choppy. Does it have to do with the fact that i selected "Motion search precision = lowest quality (very fast)". I did try mounting it with deamon tools then playing the *.dat file with different types of players. none could play it smooth. WinDVD was the smoothest but it was slow and looks like it was skipping. I am playing them back on the same computer (PII 400). Do any of the setting i listed above make a difference on the VCD. Becuase I read in a tutorial that the other encoder (can't remember the name, cinema somthing) is only compatible with PIII or higher. I will try again on a faster cpu when i get a chance though. Any more info would help. Thanks.

When that was happening to me, I concluded that I didn't have enough resources to watch it smooth. Try turning off as many programs as you can and try again. This may help to a degree. The only way to be sure or not is to test on a fast computer. The motion Search presision, combined with your computer speed could play a signifigant role in the problems.
