Messiah2 Pro install test question

I read the instructions for the v7. It says to "test" the basic fuction of the chip, just soder GRN, 3.45v, RESET, SCEx, and CLK.
Now none of the other model instructions have this, but will this test work on other models? Or do i need any other wires sodered. Like the 3.45v to video bypass done also?

And if possable, can it be left this way. So as to just play back-up PSone games. Say for someone without a DVD writer yet.

that part should have been removd from the v7,it wont work with the messiah2 u need the bios connections as well,but it did work with the messiah1
