Which DVD disc is best to burn? and Which burner?

Which DVD disc are best to burn?
I have FujiFilm DvD+R's and i was wondering if it made a difference for burning games or DVD's. Should I get RW's? or -r, -rw? thanks.
Also what do think about this burner?
TDK indiDVD 4x
reads everything
writes everything except -r,-rw's
should i get a different on or would this one serve it's purpose.
Thanks

The best recognised is dvd-r discs made by Ritek. These are Traxdata, DVDMaster or Ritek dvd-r's.

DVD+R work okay on PS2 version 5 to 8. Not sure wot brand DVD+R to use. Perhaps someone else can shed light on best DVD+R discs to use.

If u decide to experiment then the best games to experiment on are GTA Vice City, Time Splitters 2, The Getaway and Max Payne.

Copy these and see how they boot. Compare the load time to the originals( if they load at all) and this is a good way of deciding about good media and bad.

Try to stick to the above titles as some other non laser intensive titles will boot okay every time.

Also it is worth noting that some real cheap dvd blank media degrades over time. i.e will boot perfect first time but after a month won't even boot at all.

Hope this helps!!

Easy Solution: but a burner that supports dvd-r!!!!

Regards, let us know how u get on!!

I can only burn +r media. Have not tried a lot of brands. Out of what I have tried Ritek are still the best.

i have the sony dru-500a and it writes to both dvd-r and dvd+r at 4x.

i use ritek, tdk, and verbatim dvd-r. for dvd+r i use tdk, and imation. they work great.

get the sony drive and you wont have to worry about media formats. you can have the best of both worlds.
