Yes, the Cendyne is a Pioneer in a Cendyne box. There aren't too many stores in the US that ship overseas. Your best bet would be to check out ebay.

I just got a CenDyne DVD writer today. It does say its a Pioneer DVR-105.
But when i just tried to make a back-up of a PS2 game. I got the "this drive does not support subcannel data" thing.

I do see on the box "Model drive - DVR-105". Should i go back and try to find a DVR-A05? The one i got, was not the one on sale...but they gave me this one for the same price at Office Max.

My intent is to back-up my kids PS2 games. I don't much care about DVD movies(its the games the kids kill). Is it even possable to use a mod chip, and back-up PS2 games with a DVR-105?

If you didn't install it as master, you need to do so.

Good. But the problem with Errors still.
I just tried to make a back-up from an original PS1 using the DVD writer, and CloneCD with same settings. One it started with no problem.
But trying to back-up a PS2 game is giving me these errors. I used the PSX LibCript setting to start the image. Maybe i should try another image software?

Well i didn't think CloneCD would work on PS2 DVD games. But in the PS2 forum, there is a tut on how to back-up a PS2 game with CloneCD.
Is this, or is this not possable? I don't see how it could.

Blue Backs? Im sorry i dont even play the PS2. Is that a PS2 game on a normal 700mb cd? Is that what that tut was for? It didn't say otherwise.

PS2 games are either dvd based or cd based. cd based games have blue backs. Why are you burning a ps2 game if you don't have a ps2 anyways?

OIC. Yeah, use CloneCd for your cd based games and RecordNow Max or Nero for your dvd games.
