007 Nightfire

Help. Having installed Nightfire , no problem but trying to play the game. no go. Screen flickers and background keeps vanishing and coming back. I am running pent.4 with 256 ram. gforce2 video card with 40g hd. so should have system requirements to cover game. could someone help me.

i have almost the same probleme. amd athlon 1800+ 256 ram gforce 2 mx 100/200 , and i am running windovs xp . ithink we dont have enough of ram becaus if you look in your task menager how much you are using your ram it will show at less 120 mb ...150 mb (thats what shows to me).if the game needs at less 120 mb we are over the capacity(and if you have internet running while you are playing ...) . ( command and conquer generals ihave the same problem). but that just my opinion and i am not some of pc specialist. if somebody nows more exactly what is the the problem THANKS!

Download the 1.1 patch. Go to the games tech support if U still got problems!

i had same problem, can install it, but cant play it at all, contacted my ati video card company, and they said something like , that game wont work under their video cards using Catalyst, or something like that, so no go with my ATI card 8500 dv 64mb.

were you using ati aswell ??

I'm using even a old ATI. But lissen. Download 1.1 patch. Update your ATI card to the LATEST driver. www.ati.com, I think Catalyst has gone up to 3.2 or something.

I played it long time ago...but do this and it might work.

But if you don't wanna spend time for it to work...I can recemend you to quit playing that game. Is very booring, I allready finnish it, and when I have the facit in my hand, well is very very boooring game.

Direct X 9.0B or the latest one is recomended also...to have it installed.

Any way do what you have to do...thanks for using the SEARCH button to find this topic thread..

not everyone that knows there is a button, that's label "search"...

not sure i want to upgrade my drivers, because when i do for the

ATI , it mess up my Counter-Strike game, i double click the icon to

into the game, and my whole screen goes black. So i need to stay

2 driver updates down. Its the CS that came in the retail box of

the 8500 dv 64mb. Its the latest retail cd, it starts off at 1.3

instead of the 1.0 from the stores.

But just curious, on the 007 nightfire, is the multyplayer game

any good to play with friends ???? thanks

No the game in general is average, Single Player and Multiplayer... Would'nt really put much effort into trying to get this one to work.

Now, now, Bounty, we're not going to pass judgement about games here, are we ? Because if we do, my judgement is : Counterstrike/Day Of Defeat rocks, and the rest sucks. Now we can hardly do a site just for the few games that we like

PS Another one that rocks but is almost prehistoric, is X-COM 1, AKA Ufo Defense, which I just got working under XP on my main rig. Anybody interested in how, pm me
