Why do you think adding dummy files to your backup will help it? What's wrong with the backup?

my back-up(CD-R) is a bit lound and i want to try to put files so it will not be looking at blank CD. If not is there any other way to clam the lazer down? i used to of the end verbatim cd-rs!

my guess they are dvdrips
the information on the cdr has moved position, the laser has to work hard to keep locating the data

best cure is dvdr
dummy files wont help most likely make it worse

I dont see the point in putting on dummy files to make it bigger. Doesn't make sense.
