Exclamation Ripped games... worthy? DVD9

Just an opinion... *written n00b friendly* ripped games sucks for many reasons. The most obvious are the following:

1) Missing Movies, music, features - Without movies you lose the feeling of the game. For example RPG's... when a movie part is coming it just jumps to the next playable part, missing the story of the game. Why any1 could want to play an RPG with no story? Other games that rely on unlocked goodies to improve replay value also suffer this type of things. After you work your A$$ off unlocking new stuff it jus would play an intro movie or something... I hate that thing

2) Bad layout of data can and will break your PS2 - I just read it here on a sticky post.

So what I do is I get a rip version of the game and if I like its system/engine I would get the dvd version.

But again there are games that are ripped by skilled groups that rather than just remove things they downsample movies, music making them more enjoyable like socom.

---
Yesterday my friend bought Xenosaga and obviously I couldnt copy it (Diskjuggler (*at least for me) wont even try to make an image! It just stops ). So I thought about getting it ripped but then I though of the first.
Maybe if the method of Grandia2 dreamcast (when you reach x/y part of the game, save you progress and put disc two or the game will crash) is used then a good rip could be done...

What you think?

Good luck trying to rip Xenosaga or any other DVD9 game....
All of the top rippers in the world have been trying since day 1 to rip dvd9 games.... (to fit on a dvd-r or 2)
So far, only limited success... None of which will play the full game..
Hopefully before too long the manufacturers release a dvd9 burner (If the movie people don't stop them )
Or someone can figure the dvd9 ripping problem out.....

At least they can "press" backups, but that don't do much good for the "average joe"....

Xenosage has been ripped by the group Kalisto. All they have done is downsample the movies to make it fit.

You don't download 4.5 gigs. You dowload a rip kit that edits your image you already have.

It's only a matter of time. There is no such thing as an unrippable game. Be patient and the rip kits for dvd9 games will appear.

ps When r ritek gonna get their ass in gear and flood the world with decent dvd-r again?? Prices stupid at the mo!!

It is hard to first figure out, but once someone cracks it they give all the necessary directions or make a rip kit.

exactly!! Thank u bighap...........

It's hard to find the original method but once it's cracked then it's easy and the oriiginal programers will have to think of something new.

As I said, there is no such thing as an un ripable game, it just takes time to find the method..

Regards to all!!!!!!!!!!!!
