What's your routine when making a back up ?

I disable my Norton antivirus, and close any running programs. I make an image, reboot, then burn (I don't know why, I just do).

I don't ctrl-alt-del anything though. Do you guys ?

What are some things you guys always do ?

Image. Burn ( Sometimes on to DVD-RW to test, depending on source ). Repeat.

I should probably note that the only thing EVER running in my system tray is volume control

i dont know if its just me but i seem to be doing a million things while backing up my ps2 games. Usually it consists of ripping a dvd while creating the image and burning at least one dvd while the image is made. (i have a pioneer dvr-104 and 105) sometimes ill have dvd2one running in the middle of all this and ive never had a problem w/primo prassi and ritek.

Running xp pro
p4 2.53ghz
1gb pc2700 ddr ram

I see your system is no slouch either monteca820ce. You have the system power to do what you do. I don't disable anything and use RecordNow DX(same as RecordNow Max) and choose the "make exact copy option". Read then burn. I let the computer sit the entire time.

Yeah, here are my system specs.

Athlon XP 2400
soyo KT400 mobo
512mb 2100 ddr
Win XP
Pioneer 104

But I'm still using my old 300w power supply from my last computer. I should probably upgrade it, huh ?

if it works why mess with it?

The ONLY reason i built my new system was that i had no room left for expansion. I ran out of pc1 slots and had no room for my dvd rom or liteon 48xcdrw. i have the iwill p4ht red motherboard. The only downfall ive seen is the ondoard 6.1 surround. It sucks!!!!!!!!!!! Over the next couple of days ill be putting my soundblatster live 5.1 back in.

I chose the iwill because of the dual ata133 ports + the dual ide ata100 ports. It allows me to hook up all 4 drives and my 20, 80, and 120 gb hard drives along w/my zip drive. Does anyone know of any other boards that have the dual ata133 ports + the dual ide ata100 ports??
