Make ECCO Self_boot proble. Not what you think. Please help.

Howdy,

I've converted quite a few non-boot DC to self-booting, no problems there.

However, is there anything I can do here.

ECCO is non-booting but when I try to copy ALL the files from CD to C:\Selfboot, it won't copy about 50MB of files, just saying in MS-Dos box:

File Creation Error - The Parameter is Incorrect.

I don't get about 9 files.

Does this mean a Medium Error? CloneCD and others have not problems Replicating this CD, no errors etc.

Any ideas PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!

If I recall when I burnned Ecco it used up all the space on a 80min disc so I don't think you can make I bootable without reducing the game size.

Howdy,

Different name, same person.

I worked out ECCO, it was really strange.

Non-boot version was on a 74min 650mb CD, however doing a Windows Explorer properties on CD, it showed up as 695mb.

Those 9 or so files consisting of and showing 45-50mb of data don't actually exist on the CD. They exist by name only.

I used Isobuster to extract files from CD and my Plextor 1210A was a GEM when trying to read those files that weren't there. It kept on trying and recorded the filenames with 0kbs.

Anyway, the end result was that it now is self-booting on a 80min CD and it works fine, even though haven't played to end.

Cheers, Ken
