ps one modchip?

bought modchips from maxking,for ps one, when fitted 3 wire +link as on diagram, all I get on boot up is cd player or memmory card selection, have tried several chips ,and tried 6/7 wire connections , but still same,could the chips not be programmed right?

got new modchip ,install 8 wire as instructed ,playstation logo comes on but thats it,tried 6 and 4 wire again - no good.
does anyone know the correct install diagram schp 102 /41 on pcb?

Do you mean the "newer PS One"?

I got chips i got 2 years ago to work using these diagrams....

I've tried those diagrams,wont get past cd screen,is there something i'm missing on this model,done ps2,psx no problems like this one.
any more ideas?

make sure some solder didn't end up where it's not suppose to be, the white PSone's are very touchy when it comes to things that shouldn't touch one another.
