ps2 , dvdrom drive prob

I just recently purchased a dvd rom and starting backing up all my dvd's all worked out fine but when i try to backup my ps2 games my dvdrom does not recognise the cd, it just sits there and nothing happens no error messages just nothing.
I can watch/play/burn dvd's no problem there but soon as i put a ps2 game in to backup nothing

Can someone please help???

Call me mr thicky but am having trouble understanding whats up.

are you saying that your dvdwriter won't read PS2 cdroms or that it won't write PS2 cdr's??

What back-up software r u using??

Ottoman::: My asus dvd rom wont read ps2 games it just hangs there not recognising there is actually a cd in it, just like i havent even put a cd in it (sorry about my explanation)
It recognises dvd's, ps1 games and audio cd's i have no trouble it just does nothing at all with the ps2 games

I use a range of burning software, depending what im burning
Dvdcopyone platinum
nero
blindwrite
b's recorder gold

Never heard of that one. So u r putting a PS2 original cdrom into a dvd rom drive and it won't even recognise the cd. That mad!

Does yr cdrom drive recognise them?
