I heard...
Messiah 2 is good but it can also burn your PS2, and Magic 3 wont have that problem.
Is that true? I'm thinking of getting my ps2 moded by tommorow, so i need this answer right away! |

No the Messiah 2 does not harm your PS2. The only chips that harm your PS2 are Neo chips. Get the Messiah 2 NOT the Magic 3.

But isn't Messiah 2 and Magic 3 pretty much the same thing?

The "pretty much" leaves a gap that is the problem.
Magic 3 won't boot DVD9 games, for example; there's a whole radt of CD games (usually rips of DVD) that magic 3 can't play. it's an imperfect implementation. messiah 2 on the other hand is absolutely flawless in being able to boot everything that has bee correctly made.

It kind of sounds like someone is telling people that the Messiah 2 will screw up your PS2 so they can sell more Magic 3's...
