dvd problem
i got my ps2 chipped last May. I never really got into backups but recently none of my dvd backups were working on it.
I took one of thse up to a friend and they worked fine on his ps2. Normal DVD games work as does ps1 backups. Any ideas of what the prob is? |

I would venture to say that Clarky may be correct....... I would also guess that your friends PS2 is a newer model than yours OR has had less play time than yours has had....
DVD backups are "usually" the first ones to go..... Try cleaning your laser with a cleaning disc... The cd with the little brushes on the bottom... See if that will help.... If not... It may be time to replace the laser...
