Absolute rubbish magic 3.1 dose not work perfectly in version v7 ive got 40 backups here it dosen't boot but all boot in pal v7 with messiah 2 fitted can you confirm charlie that the games i sent you don't boot with any of the magics. Im also interested if you have found out m8 why there don't boot with magic whats the reason ? , ive also found out another interesting fact charlie remember the odd v7 console needing the azimuth adjustment method to boot backups with the magics well i used to think that maybe sony had tuned the lazers a little more in v7's for orginals resulting in some minor adjustments needed in the odd v7 to play backups ive now found that it may of been the odd magic chip screwing the pots , as i fitted a magic 2 for a customer just before christmas and only tested it very breifly due to been quite busy the customer has just returned the console saying the discs spin up he gets the playstation logo screen then all go's black normally a typicial azimuth adjustment needed to put things right but guess what instead out of curiousity i removed the magic 2 & fitted a messiah 2 and hey presto its booting everything . So i think the magics can alter the lazer reading ability in some models due to how they work (ie voltage ect) compaired to the messiah , luckly the customer had not tried it the much just a few times then he left the console until he could get inm touch with me . Im in no dout about this charlie as how could it start booting once the magic was taken out

You're not bin fair here Gaz, which is likely to result in a long drawn out bickerin session with somebody that gets every back-up to work.

Correct me if I am wrong but you appear to have discovered that the Magic's have a problem booting downloaded rips from another region! i.e you have a pal machine which has a problem with ntsc kalisto rips. Now Charlie_ps2 has a US machine so this would be the ideal chance to test the theory.

I have been going through my collection and most indeed are pal rips, however, I do have a GT3 kalisto rip which at the intro screen clearly specifies 'USA' which I'm just itching to send you.

Your initial statement was 'Magics don't boot all back-ups' now I don't know why a disc will play with messiah2 & not magic3. The magic is obviously very choosy with the quality of data, whereas the messiah is able to read it.

Magics will boot all 1-1 back-ups without question, and as everybody is legally obliged to own the original, there is no reason to download poor quality games which (as you claim & I have no reason to doubt) may not work.

If you do deal in pirate games then ur best not selling ntsc rips (Its estimated that magic3 has outsold messiah2 5:1).

Craig im completely closing this debate with you as you are now comming across to me as very amatuerish in this game (No malice intended) Right for a start i don't sell or deal in pirate games but a know a few people how are very big in that game . Secondly how many people who have copied games have gone out and bought the original to make a 1 to 1 backup of it very few i think craig lol . Also the laads i know who deal in these games are not running backwards & forwards to shops buying or renting games to make 1 to 1 copys i mean use your brain alittle m8. So thats leads to the question where do the (WORLDS) yes craig im talking worldwide here mate illegal pirated software come from well guess what its all downloaded from the net and released by the groups Kalisto Paradox and so on , and i would also like to bring it to your attention that its been going on for years so how can it be poor quality that statement is complete nonsence . These groups are well respected worldwide and are responable for cracking many of the complex anti coping aids used by the software companys.Yes you are right that its looking like most of the rips that won't boot are ntsc but if you sell pirate games customers want titles that are out in the usa and japan because they can't wait for the uk release so im sorry to say but if you wait for the uk release then do a 1 to 1 copy you will have missed the boat m8 as many gamers will have got the game elsewhere , as ive said people make big money out of selling games and a couple of the lads i know sell 100's a week so they know there stuff they not pissing around and it was one of these m8's that brought this to my attention about games not booting. Now the fact of the matter is if a pay good money to get a non swap mod fitted i want it to play ntsc rips the fu*king lot not have to wait for a pal release , thats why the messiah chips kick the magics arse i proved my point to you by sending the games to charlie , its also probable that certain pal rips don't boot on ntsc machines fitted with magics so if a mod is having problems booting some rips from another region how can it be as good as a mod that boots anything from any region and remember not a lot of peeps have dvd burners so they depend on rips . As i said at the start of this thread im not speaking to you about this matter again as you just keep comming back with silly statements that i feel are insulting my intelligence instead of admitting you where wrong magics don't boot everything and messiahs do be a man craig and aleast admit it ive now lost interest in this matter and if anyone else douts the facts all ive got to say to them is meet me bring a couple of grand bet me the magics play everything messiahs do and ill take your money off yer cooooooooool

Be specific with the full facts m8, not just a generic 'dont boot all' statement.

I never suggested the Magic outsold because it was better! It outsells because it much cheaper. Indeed the DMS3 appears even better than the messiah but with a price tag of over £50.................
