DVD Xcopy can't read new movies

I just need some help with DVD Xcopy. I have a Pioneer 1A04 and have a copy of DVD Xcopy v1.3. When I try and burn back to the hard drive with an older movie (The Jesse Ventura Story...don't ask) it reads fine. The DVD is less than 4.7 gigs. I tried Bridget Jones Diaries and Planet of the Apes, but it says that its unable to read the source DVD. Any ideas?

I had that same problem with all of my original DVD's when trying to read the dvd. I was reading it with my Pioneer DVR-105 every time it said the erroe message.

So I popped it in my ipper drive (DVD-ROM) and it read perfectly. While it was reading, I put a bland DVD in the Pioneer and checked the "output ready" and it started burning after the read.
