im not 100% on this, but it was my impression that the neo key was meant for the gs2 2.0+.

my old one worked great (v4 + neo key), with gs2 version 2.01.

I have a v1 PS2 board, you think it might be too old to work?

the version of the ps2 doesnt matter, its the GS2

btw, if you've got a v1 and a neo key, it might also be the laser

the neo key forces more voltage through the laser causing it to die earlier, since v1s were near the start... that could also be it....

Warlock is on a distinguished road
Its not the GS2, we need a little more info, What game are you trying to backup?? Do original cd and dvd games load ok?? Some games do require patching to work with USB mods, Also dvd-r backups will not boot with USB mods.

I've tried to back up "Oni", "Arctic Thunder", and "Super Car street Challenge" which are all CD rom type games.

Original CD-rom games and DVD-rom games work just fine.
