4mepgs to 1 dvd

look i have this movie that has had to be ripped from a dvd to a mpeg format i have 4 mpeg files.

i want to ript this to one file and burn it to a dvd so that any dvd player that can read my media dvd-r will play it like a normal dvd.

now i am knew to this sorta so explain what i need to do as if i were a child i imagine their is some software that will rip it to a certian type of file and i can just burn the file and walla..

also i have a digtital quality camcorder. i want to be able to convert this the same way as well could u include on this as well i do not know what type of file or software i need to pull it off the camera either i am totally knew to that ...

also if this wasn't clear before i want to make all 4 mpegs to a 1 file so their comined and it will play smooth all the way through.

thanks for the whole 4 mpeg join thing now how do i burn rip or set it up so that it acts like a normal dvd would?

also right now that means its in a mpeg format right now.

as you can see from bighap's message i am new to this too. I have tried aprogram called TMPGEncoder. When i joined the files the audio wnet out os sequence were the second file joined. If you can get the mpeg to run correctly then you could try the following program.

Ulead DVD Moviefactory 2.
It lets you pick what files you want to convert, change the audio to dvd sample rate and also the quality of it so that it fits onto 1 dvd-r.

know where i can get a demo of this program?
see if i like it before i buy it..

also then i have other questions and i hope this is the right place.

i have a digital cam corder... and firewire setup for it..

what software do i need to dl it from the camera if any and to use to alter it etc and then to burn it like a dvd movie would be ?

does this make sense. i know thats several processes so prob several programs.
