does it boot?

dvds dont need a patch.

even if the TOC of the original is smaller, it will still boot, it just might freeze or run into problems when it tries to read outside the TOC size of the original.

if you have done a 1:1 copy, then it is probably your boot method.

first of all booting dvd-r games with neo 2.2 and ar2 the original dvd game must have a larger toc then the dvd-r game or the same size best game to use is devil may cry or devil may cry demo which is what i use also the ar2 must be versions 1.90 or 1.93 to boot dvd-r's the newer versions dont work hope this helps

to boot it doesnt have to be larger. to play it problem-free it does.

Ok guys.....

One thing I noticed in the original post is that he said hes having trouble playing dvd backups (no mention about cd backups)...

Also hes using a NEO 2.2.... Which we all know what the NEO can do to the laser......

So my question is this..... Have you been able to boot any dvd backups.....

You may find, that your beloved NEO has finally taken its toll on your poor PS2's laser.....

Assuming its not a backup, booting, or media problem..... You may want to try cleaning your PS2's laser with a cleaning disc....

Yeah.... Thats true.... I was just throwing other ideas out there since he never mentioned what version he had.....

Maybe between all of us throwing ideas at him, he will be able to figure it out....
