Talking ILINK OR FIREWIRE for ps2?

Hellooo~ can anyone please tell me ...... does the ps2 ILINK cable be use using the normal firewire cable for pc and digital camera?
Or is it ...that i have to use only official ps2 ILINK cable?

The thing is.... i seen the ILINK for ps2 but is too short for me...
and i was thinking of buying one at a computer shop... is it possible..

its standard ilink/firewire/1394
theres 2 types of connector for these 4pin and 6pin (as like usb)

4pin is the small connector on ps2/dv cams/sony vaio's
6pin is standard pc/mac/external drive connectors


basically you will need a longer 4-4 cable if its got the same ends.. i know you can get quite long lengths for them too.

A camera firewire cable will cost u £10.00
A Sony Link Cable £15.00
A lik-sang.com i-link Cable £3.00
