Question Verbatim DVD Burner

Anyone read anything on the Verbatim DVD Burner that's out? The model is: VBTDVRW1A

It's a pretty cheap burner but I don't know if I should get that or shell out the extra cash for something better. Also anyone know if the No Solder V4 Mod Chips using Swap Magic 2 will be able to boot DVD backups?

BE WARNED....... The no-solder mod and the Swap Magic Disc combo can boot MOST games BUT NOT ALL.....

There are quite a few games that these discs are not able to boot... Mostly newer games.....

Save up the extra money and get a no swap chip like the Messiah 2.... Its well worth the money....

If you MUST get a no solder mod, get the AR2 or Gameshark to go with it.... Much more reliable.....(Although there is NO SUBSTITUTE FOR THE MESSIAH 2 )

You can have a pro do the install for you. Bill at freedomlives.com does an awesome job and is recommended by many on this forum. He is located just outside Chicago.
