okay, i think i'm halfway there. I have downloaded ppf-o-matic version2 and it all looks very straight forward. the only trouble is when i downlaod the patches (i have downloaded payches for tigger's honey hunt & aladdin nasira's revenge) i can find the ppf file but there dosen't seem to be a bin file. do i need to download something else?
Thank you for the advice from before but i'm still having some problems!!
Any further help would be much appreciated as the kids are driving me crazy ro get this done!

P.s tried to go to the nero burning rom tutorial asw i'm running this software and thought it might be easier but can't access this site. Is there a problem with it or another link i can try to acces it?

ok, i'm really new to this and don't have much idea of what i'm doing (could you guess?!) but i didn't know i had to create a bin file. how do i do this? I really need some user friendly easy steps to learn how to burn these games. can anyone help?

I found and downlaoded cdrwin v4 and everthing seemed to be going well. Then when i tried to use ppf-o-matic i got an error message about the size of the files not being the same and it wouldn't go any further. then i tried to record disc in cdrwin and got error messages that it could find a recordable device ( no cdrom recording device was found on scsi or ide bus)i then downlaoded windows aspi 10701 and get the error only for nt even though from the download site it said for w2000. so far i have create an bin file and a ppf file but can't put them together. is there anything else i can do? when i try to acces the tutorials i get an error message that it cannot find server so i donh't know what to do next. can anyone help? this is driving me crazy, i thought it would be easy!

i bought a new liteon 48125s burner a couple of weeks ago(very nice btw

) and cdrwin 4 did not recognise it but i installed cdrwin 3.9b and it found the burner straight away so try using cdrwin 3.9b as it's the latest release!
cdrwin 4.0 was only a beta check out the cdrwin homepage at www.goldenhawk.com

and as zedy said do NOT install cdrwin 5 on your system or u will have nothing but trouble,it's not a official product and is very badly made!!

They are PAL games and i'm using a BENQ 1:1:0 ATAPI CD-R/RW 40x12 1.GE. i managed to get one game to work with crwin 4 but no others i tried have. i then tried nero but it didn't work either. i'm not sure what i'm doing wrong.

oops... forgot to mention that the one i tried burning (tigger's honey hunt) was the one i had trouble with on ppf-o-matic but when i tried to burn it it worked fine. i just burned it from an image i created on cdrwin (.cue file) on nero and when i played it in the playstation it went, the others i have tried the same thing with didn't. does that mean that i didn't need to download the patch for it? if so, how do i know which ones i need a patch for?
