DVD games on CD-R?

How do you burn DVD games to CD-R??

I have seen several games that carry the DVD logo on the original (Pro Evo 2, Rocky, Hitman 2, Fifa 03) burned onto a normal CD-R and i was wondering how it was done as I don't yet own a DVD burner.

I have a normal CD-RW and have burned plenty on non-DVD games for my PS2 (which has the Magic2 chip) and was wondering how the above was done.

As far as i know the ps2 games you have seen on cd-r have been ripped. that is, the actual game data has been ripped off the dvd disk and burnt to a cd-r. What you get is the game but no cut scenes (movies). psx copy world should have tutorials on how to rip the game off dvd based games if your still interested.

I found a site that explains how to do it but it all looks a bit confusing.

Can anyone suggest where to find a beginners guide to ripping games and where to find ripkits for the latest titles as these seem the easier option.

Cheers in advance to anyone who can help.

Go well

Do you have a dvd-rom to READ the original?

The easiest way is to find a rip-kit for the particular game you are wanting to rip.....

It does all the hard work for you.....Leaving you a image that is ready to burn to cd-r.....

Problem is that some games when ripped are not worth playing anymore......

My advice would be to save a get a dvd burner.....They have came down a bunch in price.....
