Question Is this one any good?

Hey everyone, I was just wondering if anyone had any thoughts on the HP dvd+RW 100i?
I want to do movies and make back-ups of games with this if possible...
I know theres a 200i and next month a 300i coming out but I have the chance to get this one from a friend for real cheap.

I personally wouldn't buy it. It can only burn to +rw, that is really limiting you. Many devices don't support +r let alone +rw. If you are looking to save some money get a Pioneer dvr-a04 or dvr-104.

Is this a good price for the
Pioneer DVR-A04 8X4X24X2X?
I found it for $267 with free shipping.

It's ok. For $13 more you can get the A05 from harmonycomputers.com with free shipping. This is where I bought my A04 from(don't sell it anymore there). I highly recommend them.

how about these burners...has anyone heard if these are any good?
Toshiba SD-R5002 DVD-RW OEM or
Cendyne Internal DVD-R/RW Drive

To burn back ups and movies,
what speeds do you burn at?

The Cendyne is very good. It is basically a clone of the Pioneer. It is even recognized as a Pioneer when installed. I always burn at 2x, that's the max speed of my burner. You can burn at 4x without a problem if your burner permits but 4x media is still expensive.
