Help, before I kill my XBOX!
Ok, I need some help here. I installed a Matrix in my ver1 XBOX. Flashed it with evo25.bin, stuck it in, got a green flashing light, rebooted and got the blue XBOX logo. So with that blue logo Im thinking the chip is doing its job. Now heres my prob. I downloaded EvolutionX_beta_V1.8.3285, unzip all the files into a folder and made an ISO of them. Burned them to a CD-RW at 1x, stuck it in my XBOX and got the durty disk error. Went back, and reburned the files at 2x, same thing. Found another file called EvoX Install All and burned that to the CD-RW, and same error. Went and bought a new CD-RW and same damn thing. Now one thing is EvoX Install All is 74mg and my ISO is 3.7mg. Some thing I forgot to add?
This is what I put in my ISO: bios Skin default.xbe EvolutionX beta V1.8.3285.nfo evox.ini Is this a screw up with my ISOs? Or is it my CD-RWs? Or maybe a prob with my chip? Or is there a way I have to burn the ISOs? Using Prassi PrimoDVD 2.0 b/c the ver is Nero I have wont work with my DVD burner. The only thing I have not tried is burning the ISOs to a DVD, but in this little hick town I cant buy blank DVDs any way. Dont want to order any until I know I have this thing tweaked and working. I'm about to take this thing out back and put about 30rounds of 7.62x39 in it. So before I do, please help. |

In the ISO all you really need is the defalt.xbe file and the evox.ini file. I have heard of your problem before. You were able to change the bios but that bios does not allow you to run unsigned code. If you were to run an xbox back up it would probably work but evox will not. A back up is still signed code just w/ out the copy protection. Evox is illegal xbox code. I'm pretty damn sure thats whats goin on As I have answered and fixed many problems w/ these.

I have changed the bios on the chip a few times, evo25, EvoX D.6 EjectFix.bin, and EvoX D.6.bin. Well I would try to see if a backup works but I cant seem to get my XBOX to boot so I can make one...
What else can I do? Or do I need to find another bios? |

What program are you making the xbox iso with? Xiso? If so, it could either be a bad iso image or you need to put a dummy file on your CD-rw to take up more room. If you used isobuster, then thats your problem.

Yes I did use xiso to make the ISOs. And I made them a few times. What do you mean by "dummy file"?

it's a file that is absolutely nothing. It's only there to take up space. Making a dummy file pushes the data closer to the outer edge of a cd, so it's read first.
If you dunno how to make a dummy file, you can probably make a folder with a bunch of files from your HDD in it.

Can I use one big movie file? Do I need to leave the file extension on the file or just take it off?
So do I just put this "dummy file" in when I make the ISO? Could this just be the bios I have on my chip? I'm just getting more and more pissed off by this thing. |
