Quick Question!

Hi all,

Im sure its a small problem, but it is driving me up the wall and any help would be much appreciated.

I have my iso which I know is fine, if I extract the contents and put it directly on my XB hard-drive the game plays fine. The problem is when I go to burn it to dvd-r.

I have used various burning software including promo-dvd and gear software, burned at 1x, closed dvd-r, used various types of media such as expensive/cheap dvd-r's, but still when I go to play the game it crashes. It also happens on more than one game.

If anybody has come across this before or could help with what I could try next, you would be helping this poor guy finally get some sleep!

(Modchip being used is a Matrix, and Xiso was used)

try this it works for me

i first started off trying to backup by making xiso's it didn't work very well for me.
this is the method i use now to backup my xbox games.

1. connect to xbox using evox and flash fxp.
2 create a temp folder on my pc and transfer all game data from xbox dvd drive to this temp folder
3. start recordnowmax 4.50 and cancell the wizard
4. select file / new / data dvd.
from the top left hand menu bar.
5. when the burn window opens. i minimise recordnowmax and double click the temp file i previousley created (enter the file as normal)
6. select all game data in this file and copy it using left click on the mouse.
7. maxamise recordnowmax and paste all data in to the burn window.
8 press burn button and insert a blank dvd.
sit back and wait for burn to complete.

this method has worked perfectley for me each time and i have created 29 succesfull xbox backups with no problems at all.
hope this helps

later dude

Appreciate the reply. I did try recordnow max but used the iso, so Ill try doing a manual burn like you suggest tonight and see how it turns out.

Fingers crossed!
