I'm having the same problem
I'm experiencing the same problem you are. I also have a v4 no solder chip and it worked for a while and then broke down. I eventually went online and purchased a new ribbon and I tried but still no luck. What are other possibilities for no power to the eject/reset button, and how do i fix them?
