Strange sounds and crap media.

pal v7 - messiah 2 pro installed.

I guess that my media probably suck!
I use "Data write" dvd-rs and always burn at 2x . In two games (GTA3 vice city, and Hitman 2) while i am playing i here strange noises such as dvd spinning and laser noises but not clicking. When i turn down the music(from options) everything is fine no sounds, spinning at all. At first i though its GTA3 cause other people experienced probs too. But then also Hitman2. How can this happen? is it bad quality media?
With the same media the Getaway has no problems at all.

My older dvd-r games are on maxell and play perfect!
Another crazy problem appeard yesterday too. I backed up and played Tony Hawks pro skater 4 fine.( same crap data write media) Later i sticked a cd label on it and it would refuse to boot. ( all my cds-dvds have cd-labels on them) I inserted the dvd-r but guess what , At first the ps2 logo came up fine as normal boot then black screen and finally red screen of death .
I took off the cd label cleaned the cd and the game played fine.

Weard things go on..

I know the messiah 2 is super but just guessing if someone faced the same problems.

p.s all my original dvds have no problem at all.

Word of advice, don't put labels on your games. It can cause loading problems. My Pioneer media insert even warns not to apply labels. What prog you using?
