Exclamation 4 Desparate Questions for a Newbie

1. What is the best software to copy PS 2 dvd games? Can I do it with Nero or Clone? or is it better to do record now?
2. Will Swap Magic PS2 Boot Disc work with the neo key 2.2 internal chip or is Game shark 1.9 better?
3. Will both of them boot the copied PS 2 games?
4. When I try to copy from my copy of recordnow it copies the disk fine but when I insert the dvd -r to record it on it keeps asking for the right kind of disk. What am I doing wrong?

I have P4 Intel 2400, A05 Pioneer, 512 DDR Ram
Nero, clone and Record now

Use Clonecd for ps1 and CDBASED (ie blue bottom) ps2 games. And use recordnow for ps2 dvd based games.

2. Will Swap Magic PS2 Boot Disc work with the neo key 2.2 internal chip or is Game shark 1.9 better?

Yes they will work (you get 2, 1 for cd games and 1 for dvd based games) but they don't boot everything. I've got a list somewhere on the forum showing what i've tried. If you use the gameshark remember you need a original dvd based game with a high table of contents (GTA3 for example. Psxpaul has a post with game sizes on top of this forum.

3. Will both of them boot the copied PS 2 games?

Yep, you will have to do the swap (ie hold reset down when turning on your ps2) for dvdr's

4. When I try to copy from my copy of recordnow it copies the disk fine but when I insert the dvd -r to record it on it keeps asking for the right kind of disk. What am I doing wrong?

Have you selected the right recorder(that is if you have 2. ie a cdburner and dvdburner)

I have P4 Intel 2400, A05 Pioneer, 512 DDR Ram
Nero, clone and Record now
